Charity Spin-a-thon on Sunday 23rd September
Do you fancy a challenge this month?? If you do why not join us for a 6 hours Charity Spin-a-thon on Sunday 23rd September?!
COPD is just a small scale of what British Lung Foundation stands for. Your donation will allow British Lung Foundation to continue their vital work. Funding research to find new treatment and cures. Supporting people who struggle to breathe to take control of their lives and campaigning for better lung health. Raising funds for British Lung Foundation, COPD class instructor and Roko PT Emma Moore, has supported those with lung conditions since 2011, you will have seen the amazing group on a Friday lunchtime around Roko. Teaming up with her partner, ex York Knights player Craig Forsyth, they have already cycled 100 miles at London's Ride 100 on the 29th July and are also completing Rat Race Coast to Coast in September; two weeks before the spin-a-thon!
Bikes are still available, so put your money where your legs are and support this amazing cause. We have also been told that ex Rhino's player Keith Senior will be riding 6 hours as will our very own Walk with the Wounded/ Invictus games hero Ibi Ali. Put a team together or ride 6 hours solo and join your favourite Roko spin instructors John, Clare, Emma, Hannah, Julie and Vicky for some laughter along the way. Challenge yourself to achieve 100 miles....or take the plunge and achieve the 6-hour challenge. You do not have to all be members to take part in this charity ride! Bikes are a £30 donation for the 6 hours or £5 donation for 1 hour. You can contact Emma via text 07432 138 965 or via email llamagirl0905@gmail.com or find her on Facebook or visit https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/CrazyandElmo
Posters and donation buckets will be popping up around the club over the next few weeks.
